ASK SHOW:MASCOTS AS A PROMOTIONAL TOOL

At the just concluded Ask show ,major companies employed various methods to attract show goers in a test of who was more creative.

The Sossi soya beans were a hit with professional cyclists dressed in branded gear showing their skills on bicycles  They looked well coordinated and the message was clear. It seemed like a blend of Cs r and marketing.

Uni lever had their bubble man mascot. He looks more like a mascot for an ice cream company than a bubble. He could have been more bubbly in his performance and fuller in appearance than a pyjama suit.

The Fresh a pavilion had 2 full cow mascots in  brown and black. They provided entertainment for the curious crowd as well as ushered them into the display stand.

Most of the businesses/companies used artists ,comedians and loud music to lure show goers.

The use of mascots was highly valuable as a visibility,promotional and entertainment tool for those who thought to connect emotionally with their audience.
